Student Meals

Dear WSD3 Families,

We are happy to announce that families in Widefield School District 3 will be able to receive free meals through December 18, 2020. This will begin today, September 2, 2020.  The USDA is allowing the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) to be operated during the fall months while school instruction takes place, whether that’s distance or in-person learning. This was the same program that allowed us to feed students in the spring and summer.

What does this mean for you?
• K-5 - Meals will continue as normal at your child’s school
• 6-12 Distance learning, D3-My Way, homeschooled children and any children 0-18 years old may come and get a grab and go meal at one of our secondary school sites from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m. on school operating days.

All grab and go meals need to be ordered through the Grab and Go Meal Google Form.
For District 3 families we strongly encourage you to continue to fill out the Free and Reduced meal application to ensure that any benefits that your family will receive would be in place at the beginning of the second semester.  Refunds are available upon request or they can remain on your student’s account for the beginning of the second semester when we return to the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). To request a refund, please call the Nutrition Services Office at (719) 391-3561.

Sincerely,
Widefield School Dist. 3
