PARCC Tutorial

3rd, 4th & 5th grade parents and students

The following link will connect you to the parcc pre-test tutorial. We will be going over it during computer lab time, but there are a lot of elements involved in taking this test, i.e. drop & drag, highlighting items, and various tools. It would be wonderful if your student could further familiarize themselves with the test, so they would be more relaxed and confident during the actual test taking in the Spring.

To take a sample test, click on the "test preparation" tab at the top, click on "sample test" and choose a grade.

Internet Safety

Parents:

Please emphasize the importance of internet safety with children by sharing the following basic guidelines with them:

  • Talk to people in the real world, face to face, NOT online.

  • Do not give anyone online your last name, phone numbers at home or school, your parents' workplaces, or the name or location of your school or home address. Be sure that screen names do not reveal information on age or location.

  • Never give your password to anyone but a parent or other adult in your family.

  • Internet Safety is just as important at home as it is at school.

  • Guide and teach students to make good decisions on the internet.

  • REMEMBER: Nothing on the Internet is private!
