For determining academic awards, specials grades WILL NOT be included.
For determining citizenship awards, specials grades WILL be included.
If students are on an IEP and did not achieve an academic award, they can be given a BLACK PANDA AWARD if they are meeting their goals.

Grade	Panda Citizen Award: to award those who consistently show great effort & citizenship
K - 1st	All As and Ps on Behavior/Participates/Respect on the report card No office referrals
2nd - 3rd	At least 3 A’s and nothing below a P on Behavior/Participates/Respect on the report card No office referrals
4th - 5th	At least 6 E's and nothing below an S on Effort and Behavior on the report card No office referrals

Acknowledging growth in academics
Demonstration of learner characteristics (i.e., reflect, wonder, persevere, collaborate, feedback, connect)
Demonstration of the 7 Habits
Students who show great leadership
Celebration of attendance
The award will specifically state what it was received for
