Sometimes life shows us a different career path when we least expect it.  I was fortunate to find this amazing position at French after over 20 years in the lending field.  My passion the last five to seven years in the finance world was in education.  Instructing, teaching, and guiding my coworkers or my members was where I felt my most energized and excited.  So breaking away from that environment and finding my happy place in the school district was an easy decision.  

 The Global Arts class foundation has emerged as an incredible way to blend "the learning" with "the doing".  We learn everything from the basic elements of art, exploring art techniques from the styles of famous artists, and the cultures and customs of the peoples on our different continents.  From that "learning" we then can have fun with the "doing".  We create fun and engaging projects that tie in to what we've just learned.  It's an incredible way to have our kids try hands on fun that keeps them excited for more!

On your visits to French you'll find our kids art hanging in my room and also down our "Art Alley" just outside the classroom.  The kids love to see their work and share their masterpieces with the entire school.  This is a truly unique program adopted by French and I'm grateful to be here exploring with these brilliant kids.
